maybe
maybe i'll start writing here again.
maybe my beautiful balloons will float.
maybe, but for now i come bearing a gift.
in my estranged auntie's basement located in rosemont of montreal, recorded july 5th:
little fish
sorry for low sound and stuff i am going to re-record it in a week or two. i kinda like how i arranged it, just needs some sweet harmonics and other crazy things going on, maybe.
i also recorded other things but they were just ideas. they also will be re-recorded.

this weekend
i haven't had time to write as you probably guessed. though quite a bit has happened this past month, i really don't want to write too much right now so i'll just talk about this past weekend.
trevor doss came over (raleigh's buddy), bringing with him our old roommate chris from viscalia. it's been pretty lonesome here with just three of us here now these days, so their presence was refreshing. we had a pretty alcohol-ridden weekend. it was fun! (images later?)
and well, with a bunch of musicians here, we couldn't help but jam all sunday, and then do a last minute recording just hours before trevor and chris needed to leave today.
here's the result. half of it's probably unlistenable, but i guess 20 minutes of jamming can sound like that.
vocals: raleigh, trevor, nate, me
guitar: raleigh
acoustic guitar: nate
piano: me & trevor
organ: nate
drums/tambourine: chrizzle
bells: me

you know
this is the best part of the year when you decide on an adventure to montreal and mexico together (regardless of how stupid of an idea it is given the current situation). and when you know you have that feeling again when you thought it wasn't possible. it is. it is.
winter rejoice.

winter love
i've had a busy time this winter so far, including annoyingly long shifts at the mall and lots of gift planning and purchasing mostly. went to little tokyo with nathan to buy raleigh's gifts because we believe he would absolutely love everything you can purchase there, since he lived in japan for a bit as a child (and mainly because sometimes the shit they have there in the stores are just ridiculous, really). we also bought some gifts at amoeba down the street for a couple people, too.
currently we have a guest at the apartment who's been here a couple days now. matthew reeves, a very talented artist from viscalia and one of raleigh's friends from high school, just out of college.
his company is well appreciated in the absence of chris and chad. i miss those fools. but chris is visiting very soon and should be bringing with him a declawed cat to give to us and gosh am i excited for that. also Bottle Cap should be happening soon, and i can't wait. fuck man, fallout 3 is fucking amazing.

last night was the griffith park dwp light festival.
it was nice.
today, sometime later in the morning, i shall be getting my computer and other valuables from my old residence which means i can finally record instead of just writing a bunch of stuff i sometimes forget. definitely stoked.
i'm thinking about recording something for nathan. i'm supposed to make something and buy something for him, and i haven't done either. a little disappointing, but, i do hope it turns out well.
